Gardner joined NI in 1998 as a software manager.?He’s held numerous?leadership?positions at?several?large?application?software organizations, including in international?R&D and hardware services.

Before NI, Gardner spent 13 years at Fisher Controls (Emerson Process) as a design engineer and engineering manager where he co-invented two patents.

Gardner holds a?bachelor’s degree in computer engineering?from Iowa State University.?He’s served as captain,?EMT, and?president of his local volunteer fire department.
